This 47 page document was the result of the specific survey assessing the atomic bomb attacks

many of the aircraft in the photos were captured and then marked with US roundels to hopefully prevent them from being shot down by friendly forces while undergoing flight tests

The A-8 included a filter for the vacuum air which is drawing across the gyro to power it while in flight
