Here too there is just a background hint of wood that does not intrude upon the wonderfully refined aromas that are airy

Penet Chardonnet, Les Epinettes Vintage:2010 charcuterieNotes of lemon oil, toasted bread, chamomile and sweet orchard fruit preface the 2010 Grand Cru Millsime Les Epinettes, a medium to full bodied, bright and fleshy wine that's concentrated, incisive and a touch youthfully austere. It's not the most charming or immediate rendition of this bottling, but I suspect time will be kind to it.
