Just very slightly sour but nicely transparent and fresh
expansive – perfect with saline fruits de mer
cassis and floral pastille flavors that show surprising energy for their heft
Punset, Barbaresco Vintage:2011 white fruit and pepperThe 2011 Barbaresco shows the signs of a warm vintage. The bouquet offers slightly jammy aromas with blackberry and prune backed by clove, licorice and white pepper. This is a difficult wine to gauge because it could fall flat sooner rather than later. Yet, Punset's wines usually improve greatly with age so there may well be more surprises in store.
