Red berry fruit jumps out of the glass here but after a couple of seconds we get hints of warm Spanish earth and soft oaky spice

they have been perfecting their craft as long as any of their European cousins but given their relatively moderate standing on the world stage (certainly not due to their lower winemaking standards) the wines command significantly lower prices – great for us wine-drinkers
