The Sevier River, which drains part of the western Colorado Plateaus province, flows through the southeast corner of the quadrangle and terminates at Sevier Lake. The rocks and sediments exposed in the quadrangle represent a fairly complete sequence ranging in age from Middle Proterozoic to Holocene
