They are to be installed together with Flush Nosings on an open stringer only and cannot be used on closed stringer staircases. The edges are slightly eased and finished to protect against wear and tear. They do not sit flush with the drywall, but overhang about 5 8" or 1 2" depending on the floor. Each nosing is custom made
