Clark West Mountain is a range block about 8 miles long by 1 to 2 miles wide in the northeast Great Basin. Most of the mountain consists of Permian and Pennsylvanian marine sedimentary strata capped by probable Late Cretaceous and early Tertiary synorogenic deposits. The southern quarter of the mountain (herein informally referred to as the Quarry Hills) consists largely of Mississippian, Devonian, and Cambrian sedimentary strata. West
