Antique French Striped Skirt green This block print kantha quilt

This block print kantha quilt features a repeating floral motif in warm pink tones set against a soft green cotton base

two narrow pieces of the textile are carefully hand stitched together to make each wider piece

and on a kingsize and super king bed the quilt goes across the bed and reaches up to the pillows and down to cover the mattress

I have done this with my own Provencal skirt

Antique French Striped Skirt green This block print kantha quiltThis antique French skirt has been made from a striped moire cotton. It dates from the early 1900's. It will fit a 56cm waist (22 inches) and is 90cm long (35 inches). US size XXXS, UK XXS Japanese size XS. It is in very good condition, no wear but a few small marks. The skirt appears to be homemade, with neat machine stitching, a cotton and metal zipper that has been hand stitched in place. The pleats appear to have been starched. Care instructions:
