Backsberg Unorthodox Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon Size:750ml cinnamon and cassisThe Merlot and the Cabernet Sauvignon were made separately and blended just prior to bottling. Both varieties went through the mevushal process prior to fermentation in stainless steel tanks. French oak was used for 7 months in the Cabernet Sauvignon and a combination of French and American oak for 7 months in the Merlot. The blend is 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet sauvignon
