They are dead quiet when the CD player is paused (I have no preamp) and have excellent frequency response

JJ 6BQ5 / EL84 Vacuum Tube NOS NIB Ray Conniff His 7 and 1830/20This new in box JJ 6BQ5 was tested on our Maxi Matcher with 325 volts on the plates and a bias of 14 volts for shorts, gas and transconductance. There were no shorts or gas. Transconductance measured 7170 micromhos with a plate current draw of 25. 2 milliamps. (New EL84s typically test from the mid 20s to mid 60s with transconductance from 7420 micromhos). WE HAVE SCORES OF THOUSANDS OF VACUUM TUBES. IF IT'S NOT LISTED, WE MAY HAVE IT. PLEASE ALSO SEE
