I like the character here though as it’s frank and direct and the only nit is that the finish is somewhat short

chewy finish that features framing tannins and a sweetening touch of mocha

round and seductive mouth feel to the lush

If the 2012 was impressive

Rene Bouvier, Charmes Chambertin Brut Zero structured by wonderfully plush tannins(from a ~. 30 ha parcel in Mazoyres). A beautifully layered mlange features notes of red and black pinot fruit, violet, earth, tea and a touch of forest floor. There is fine density to the quite powerful, dusty and robust bigger bodied flavors that terminate in a chewy, moderately austere and compact finale. This is very Mazoyres in character, but the balance is impeccable as is the development potential.
