The knob sets the time when pulled and rotated; otherwise the knob winds the clock when rotated clockwise. The clock works when wound and seems to keep time, but its accuracy has not been confirmed. It has an aluminum case measuring 2 3 8 inches square and the round clock face measures 2 1 4 inches diameter.
