Das Weingut San Roman gehrt zu den Stars der D. O. Toro und wird von der Bodega Mauro geleitet. Der Prima ist der Einstieg vom Starnologen Mariano Garcia, der 30 Jahre bei Vega Sicilia gearbeitet hat. Der Prima besteht aus Tinta de Toro (ein rtlicher Tempranillo Klon) und Garnacha. Beeindruckend krftig und voll in Nase und Gaumen. Die Rebstcke sind zwischen 10 und 50 Jahre alt.
