The sun motif on the lid is slip trailed with the sections filled in with normal glaze. This process takes quite some time, but I think it was worth the effort! Cup is lined with white (it will crackle with use) so you can see the color of your tea! Note: there is a little brown fleck on the saucer. Not really a defect, just the result of using such chonky stoneware. All my pieces
