Moniot-Nié, Santenay 1er cru Clos Rousseau 2018 Rosé Wine and given its low-pH profileJust six hundred bottles or so are made of this rare treat, which expresses the Clos Rousseau climat in a still more intense and refined red than the estate's village Santenay. Deep crimson colour and punchy red fruit character evolve to reveal darker tones of woodland flora and even liquorice that linger along with fine, shaping tannins. This is an ideal match for strong, gamy flavoursnot necessarily those of game, but of any rich savoury dish.
