Making a Splash

Making a SplashDavid Hockney is an artist who I admire greatly. He has been so influential and continues to be. His famous Splash painting I have always loved. The composition is so striking, and so calming at the same time. I really feel I am standing poolside and can hear the quietness around the pool apart from the splash and I can also feel the heat. The splash itself; I love how stylised that has been painted adding to the coolness of the painting. With its
