"Pioneer in Wagon" by Eugene Higgins, Amer., (1874-1958) Wood Engraving There is a hint ofEtching, 1930's, ed. unknown, 6 7 8 x 4 15 16, on cream wove paper watermarked Normany Vellum, signed in pencil, in fine condition. Higgins, who was called "The American Millet" for his empathetic images of the rural and urban poor, summered in Old Lyme Ct for many years.
