Created by Alphonse Augis and inspired by a letter poet Rosemonde Grard wrote to her husband, the writer Edmond Rostand, the pendant features a rebus reading "+ qu'hier que demain" for the lines, "Car, vois tu, chaque jour je t'aime davantage, Aujourd'hui plus qu'hier et bien moins que demain."
