"Moonlight on the Androscoggin" by John Henry Hill, Amer., (1839-1922) Drawing 10-1/4 x 8-3/8Etching & Aquatint, printed in a warm brown ink, as published in American Art Review, ca. 1880, ed. unknown, 6 x 8 1 16, on thick cream laid paper with full margins. a small pale stain beneath image at lower left, otherwise fine. A tranquil subject and painterly use of aquatint by Hill, associated with the Hudson River School.
