A dry smoky presence steadily builds in the glass until the finish arrives with rolling tidal sea weed and hints of salted toffee

some soft liquorice root notes add a delicious contrast to the mid palate

the mix between bourbon and sherry casks has given a great balance to this single malt

white pepper and roasted vanilla

The man said to have started it all of was Edmund Haynes Taylor

One of the great Speyside distilleries with a  classic vintage that works across the whole palate

and is well worth trying as an example of an archetypal Highland Whisky
