His formative years were marked by personal tragedies and cultural conflicts, which deeply influenced his artistic voice. After moving to Bombay, Souzas artistic journey was both tumultuous and groundbreaking, culminating in his expulsion from the Sir J. J. School of Art for political activism. Co founding the Bombay Progressive Artists' Group, he
